The Info You Actually Need on Nonprofit Tech and Online Fundraising

Last month, we sent a survey to our blog readers and others who have opted in to receive our content. Our goal was simple: as part of our commitment to serving the nonprofit sector, we want to make sure we’re providing content that you ACTUALLY NEED, not just providing what we THINK you need.

We had well over 100 responses (thank you!), and I thought you might like to know a bit more about your fellow readers. So, here are a few interesting takeaways from the survey:

  • A majority (just under 59%) have a primary role in the organization of fundraising or marketing. Others include executive, programs, IT, and “all of the above”.
  • Nearly 65% find “best practices for online fundraising” as the type of information that would be most helpful, with “best practices for peer-to-peer fundraising” a close second at more than 55%. Some other high-interest topics include CRM/database management and how-to tips for using nonprofit tech.
  • A majority use Blackbaud and/or Salesforce products, and many use peer-to-peer fundraising specific products.
  • Several folks called for us to provide more free webinars and guides. And, many called for us to continue offering tips, tricks, how-tos, and examples of what other nonprofits are doing with their online fundraising and marketing campaigns and technology.

We truly appreciate those of you who read our blog articles and resources, and we sincerely aim to continue to provide content that helps you with your online fundraising and marketing. So, please keep reading, and continue to provide us with your comments on our blog articles or contact us. We’re all ears.
